In an absolutely enraging video produced by the California Federation of Teachers, the “story” of how America fell on hard times is told in animated form. The video, entitled, “Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale,” tells the story of how the evil, greedy rich people conspired to ruin America.
Be forewarned: the video is vile and the most vulgar and divisive piece of propaganda seen since Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will. The film literally shows the rich urinating on the poor. The film is as classy as it is intellectually honest.
Ironically enough, the film was produced by Fred Glass, a California Federation of Teachers staffer whose 2011 compensation was $139,800. The film was narrated by 1-percenter Ed Asner.
The video shows a wide range of absurd allegories for the ways in which the rich have screwed over the poor. The rich, supposedly, stopped paying taxes which left public schools and other services under funded. However, the cartoon conspicuously omitted the fact that the U.S. spends more on education than any other industrialized nation and breaks into the middle of the pack on results on a good year.
So, maybe we should look at other factors, hmm? Perhaps we should examine the leftist, agenda-driven teaching methods of an educational system that, by and large, values class-warfare-oriented indoctrinated of unsuspecting children over results in reading, writing and arithmetic. For an example of this very agenda, look no further than the aforementioned propaganda.
At one point in the video, the rich peoples’ money stacks collapsed and crushed the poor peoples’ houses- the poor became victims of the evil rich peoples’ greed. No mention was made of government meddling that twisted the arm of lenders to deviate from tried-and-true lending practices to put poor people into houses that were impossible to afford.
Likewise, the video makes no mention of the fact that those much-maligned “1-percenters” pay an astounding 40% of the taxes! So spare us the rich stealing from the poor bit.
Most outrageous about this video is that that this may be shown in our children’s classrooms. This highly-politicized, erroneous, occupy Wall Street-esque garbage could be polluting the minds of those who simply won’t know any better than to accept the teachings of an authority figure.
To me, there are few things so low as the purposeful outright indoctrination of children in the pursuit of creating a warped perspective dedicated to class warfare. Please, call your schools and make sure this filth is not being shown in classrooms near you.
