They Mock Us

Last night’s debate was deplorable and that kind of disrespect should not be tolerated in this country. It’s not that Joe Biden was passionate, it’s that Joe Biden came across as angry and mocking. Blathering liberals like Ed Shultz and Rachel Maddow can throw bombs, but seeing that immaturity in a sitting Vice President was disturbing. Paul Ryan is the perfect example of why the Democrat establishment is equal parts cowardly, craven, and incompetent. Paul Ryan is trying to solve incredibly complex and important problems and all they do is mock him. This mockery comes from a party and administration that hasn’t even lived up to their most basic obligations by passing a budget. The President’s budget couldn’t muster even a single DEMOCRAT vote in either chamber of Congress. Joe Biden’s disrespectful attitude last night shows a real cowardice because this administration doesn’t have the ability to explain away a treasure trove of horrible policy. They mock us because we are positive, they mock us because we have principles, and they mock us for having faith. They mock us, but they don’t realize that it makes them look ridiculous in the eyes of people who are increasingly concerned about the disastrous policies coming from Washington and their effects on our life, liberty, and property. They have fallen miserably short of even the simplest standards and instead of offering solutions, they attack everyone else around them. If they can’t fix the problem, they sure as hell aren’t going to let someone else fix it; that would expose their corruption and incompetence.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind a good argument every now and then. It’s the idiots who try to hide their real positions behind ridiculous tactics and antics that really frustrate me. They don’t want to have a discussion on solutions, they want to have a pity party. The Americans I know aren’t into feeling sorry for themselves, they’re about improving themselves and their situations. It seems that the two party system has become a choice between a bitter ideology that wants to wallow in despair because of obstacles in our path and a party who is excited to overcome those obstacles; I’m voting Romney/Ryan. If we make intelligent moves now, we can avoid much of the pain in Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Italy. After four failed years the only thing the left can do in the face of our realistic optimism is act like petulant children. Pathetic.

Biden was trying to win the debate by constantly mocking Ryan’s statements with that stupid smile and effort to show off his new pearly whites. He failed in my biased estimation.

Prov. 26:4-12: 4 When arguing with fools, don’t answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are. 5 When arguing with fools, be sure to answer their foolish arguments, or they will become wise in their own estimation. 6 Trusting a fool to convey a message is as foolish as cutting off one’s feet or drinking poison! 7 In the mouth of a fool, a proverb becomes as limp as a paralyzed leg. 8 Honoring a fool is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot. 9 A proverb in a fool’s mouth is as dangerous as a thornbush brandished by a drunkard. 10 An employer who hires a fool or a bystander is like an archer who shoots recklessly. 11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. 12 There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise. http://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/proverbs/passage.aspx?q=proverbs+26:4-14

Biden reminds me of a Court Jester. Here is what I found when I looked up the definition -A jester, joker, jokester, fool, wit-cracker, or prankster was a person employed to tell jokes and provide general entertainment, typically for a European monarch or courtier. Jesters are depicted to have typically worn brightly coloured clothes and eccentric hats in a motley pattern. Their hats were especially distinctive; often made of cloth, they were floppy with three points, each of which had a jingle bell at the end. The three points of the hat represent donkey’s ears and nose and tail worn by jesters in earlier times. Other things distinctive about the jester were his laughter and his mock sceptre, known as a “bauble” or marotte. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jester
Now, is that a fitting description of Biden or what?
