As the world crashed down upon the liberals Wednesday night, we on the right had a good chuckle. Like the cocky main character of “Casey at the Bat,” President Obama had struck out- and the Mudville nine at MSNBC couldn’t believe it.
Almost immediately, the liberal media went nuts after The Liberal Messiah came up so drastically short. While the initial impulse was likely to claim Obama the victor, despite the evidence to the contrary, even the liberal media couldn’t put lipstick on that pig. So, instead, they went with a million different excuses as to why the performance couldn’t possibly be Obama’s fault.
Al Gore cited altitude as a cause of the performance, but that is asinine and laughable. The current excuse lays the blame at the feet of Obamas subordinates; they didn’t prepare him enough. John Kerry, who stood in as Romney during the debate prep, was not aggressive enough- or so say the Obama lackeys. Whatever- the empty chair was outmatched because he is not president material. Plain and simple.
In a weird twist, however, the sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live, has deviated from their traditional leftist ideology to poke fun at MSNBC, the haven for pinko propaganda. For a show that hasn’t been funny since Dana Carvey left, it is actually pretty good (and spot-on with their depictions.)
So, as it’s Monday, and we could all use a laugh to start the week off right, I offer you SNL. Enjoy.
