Media Avoids Discussing Obama’s Foreign Policy Failings By Pointing Finger at Romney

As things heat up in the Middle East and Americans wait for someone in the Obama Administration to say or do something meaningful to address the murderous crowds that have assembled outside our embassies, the media has done all it can to provide cover for the Obama Administration by making the discussion, “Why is Mitt Romney speaking out-of-turn?”

Because with the American presence in the Middle East becoming more untenable with each passing minute, with our diplomats being murdered and our flags being desecrated while Obama skips security briefings to party in Vegas, yes, this is what the media narrative should be; this is the news story here. Good grief…

The media has been working as a shill for the Obama Administration since day one. It would be nice to see objective journalism, but I realize those days are long gone. However, even with such partisan journalism, how can the liberal media justify skewing the discussion to make Romney seem out of line, when it is the failed foreign policies of the Obama Administration that has helped to further destabilize the already remarkably unstable Middle East to begin with?

Even the liberal mouthpiece for the leftists, Kirsten Powers, finds it ridiculous that this has become the dominating conversation in the media concerning this fiasco. On FOX News, Powers stated,

“The outrage that has been expressed over the fact that Mitt Romney put out this statement has even overshadowed any kind of outrage that you would see over the fact that you have Islamic flags being hoisted over American embassies, the fact that an American ambassador is dead. I mean, you are just not seeing the same level of outrage as of just over the process of what time [Romney] put the statement out, it is absolutely, utterly insane the way they have elevated this.”

When Kirsten Powers says that the left has gone too far, it might be time for the them to reevaluate their stances, because this is a woman who Che would have called a “left-wing nutjob.”

I’ll do what my mother used to do when my brother and I were bored; I will suggest some things for the media to do.

-Maybe they should revisit Obama’s adoration for the “Arab Spring,” and discuss how in just under two years, we have seen the rise of militancy that has sprung up in the power vacuum of the Middle East.

-If they’re feeling ambitious, maybe they could find a way to explain why George W. Bush’s meddling in the Middle East was wrong, but Obama’s meddling was, somehow, right.

-Or maybe they would like to discuss why Obama has been skipping intelligence briefings, but has made sure to hob-nob with those much-maligned one-percenters who fund his campaign, even after our embassies were attacked.

-They could get off their… cushy chairs and perform the function of real journalists and put pressure on the president to announce what he intends to do about the escalating crisis in the Middle east.

-Or, they could discuss why our president is calling the president of Libya to thank him for his help. Seriously- Islamic terrorists storm our embassy, murder our ambassador and 3 others, drag our ambassador through the streets, raid our embassy and burn it down, and our president calls to thank the president of Libya.

So, there you go- I’ve just given out some more noteworthy suggestions for journalists everywhere. No need to thank me, I’m just trying to get the ball rolling on some actual reporting.

The statement from the state department decrying the “hurt feelings” of Muslims was as pathetic as it was absurd. What is even more absurd is that the liberal media has attempted to make the news story that Romney condemned a statement that should be condemned – a statement that the Obama Administration condemned. Anything to get the focus off of The One’s failings…
