A Short, Special Message For Ron Paul Fans: Game’s Over. Mitt Won.

I was not a Mitt Romney fan during the primaries. Hell, I was one of the co-founders of NotMittRomney.com and I would have been thrilled with a brokered convention. But, it didn’t work out that way. Mitt Romney collected the delegates he needed to win.

In other words, the game’s over and all the Republicans are doing at the convention is having a lavish ceremony to hand out the trophy.

So, Ron Paul does have some enthusiastic fans and they did yeoman’s work gaming the system to get extra delegates in some states. But, the race has been run and Ron Paul lost. So did Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann and all the other candidates.

There’s a time and place for fighting amongst Republicans. It’s called the primaries. That’s why NotMittRomney.com is now pointed at Mitt Romney’s website. Demanding a new candidate, complaining about rule changes at the convention, and generally making an ass of yourself at this point doesn’t accomplish anything other than making you look like, well…an ass.

We all need to come together and beat Obama and the democratic party. The time is now here.
